Michael Schurman

In 2020, Schurman was inducted into the PGA of Canada’s Hall of Fame. He is being recognized for his significant contributions to the Canadian golf industry over his 50-year career as a PGA of Canada professional. 

Schurman said his proudest accomplishment was obtaining Master Professional accreditation from the PGA of Canada. He is among only 24 members in the association’s 109-year history to achieve this status. 

“His contributions to the game, the PGA of Canada, and his community over a career that began in the mid-’60s is impressive, to say the least,” said Tom Greiner, chair of the PGA of Canada Hall of Fame committee. “Mr. Schurman has devoted his entire life to the betterment of golf and continues to be active in association affairs to this day.”
