Born: March 31, 1938 in Winnipeg, Manitoba

James (Jim) Collins was the Head Professional at the St. Charles Country Club until his retirement in 1997.

Throughout his career, Jim has been a 3-time winner of the Manitoba Zone Championship (65’, 77’, 78’), a 5-time winner of the Manitoba Zone Seniors’ Championship (89’, 90’, 91’, 94’, 00’), and in 1980 Jim was the PGA Club Professional Champion of Canada. Internationally, Jim has won 8 other Championships including the Bermuda Beefeater Championship, the Royal Oak Seniors Championship, and the Lake Nona Senior Invitational Championship.

In 1985, Jim was selected as a Rules Instructor and Member of the Golf Canada (formerly RCGA) Rules Advisory Committee. Jim was recognized and inducted into the Manitoba Golf Hall of Fame in 2007.
