Gordie Brydson

A three-time winner—1942, 1944 and 1948—of the PGA Championship of Canada, Gordon Brydson started his career at the Toronto Golf & Country Club as an assistant golf professional to George Cumming. Brydson also spent 40-years at the Mississaugua Golf & Country Club. In 1961 and again in 1965 he won the PGA Seniors’ Championship of Canada and finished runner-up to Pat Fletcher at the 1954 Canadian Open.

From 1947-1948 he served as the PGA of Canada President. Regarded as an all-around athlete, Brydson also played for the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Toronto Argonauts. He was inducted into the Canadian Golf Hall of Fame in 1982.
