Brent Franklin

Born: December 16, 1965 in Barrie, Ont.

The two-time Canadian Junior Championship winner—1983 and 1984—and three-time winner of the Canadian Amateur Championship—1985, 1986 and 1987—Brent Franklin was a member of the winning squad at the 1986 World Amateur Team Championship. Franklin turned professional in 1988 and immediately won the PGA Championship of Canada at Emerald Hills Golf & Country Club in Stoufville, Ont.

He played in 112 Japan Golf Tour events between 1989 and 1995. Franklin was inducted into the Canadian Golf Hall of Fame in 2010.
