Dave Colling

Following 10 years in the golf media, during which he founded Ontario Golf News magazine and a year as the Executive Director of the PGA of Ontario, Dave joined the staff of the PGA of Canada as Executive Director in April 1986.

During his 15 years with the PGA of Canada, the membership of the Association experienced major expansion growing from 1,500 to over 3,000 members.  During that time, the Association created the Women’s Championship and the Teaching and Coaching Certification Program, held the first National Teaching Symposium,  revamped the Apprentice Education program, helped create the National Association of Golf Associations, and created strong relationships with the PGA of America and the British PGA.

During the revamping of the Bylaws in the mid-’90s, Dave was named as the first CEO of the Association.

Dave continues to serve the PGA as a nationally certified referee at its major golf championships.
