Job Summary
The Links at Spruce Grove is seeking a dynamic, motivated, and professional individual to join our team as an Apprentice/Associate Golf Professional. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the golf shop, guest services, and golf instruction, with a focus on creating an exceptional experience for both passholders and public golfers. You will also be instrumental in leading and training staff, managing golf operations, and organizing events. As a key member of the team, you will work closely with the Head Professional to ensure the highest standards in customer service, sales, and overall operations. All of these responsibilities will be carried out while reporting directly to the Head Professional to ensure smooth coordination and alignment with overall golf course objectives.
Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service and ensure guest satisfaction is consistently exceeded.
  • Manage day-to-day operations of the golf shop, ensuring a seamless and organized environment.
  • Develop and run junior golf camps and other youth programs.
  • Assist in managing back-shop operations, including hiring and scheduling staff.
  • Oversee pro shop merchandising and inventory management to ensure the golf shop meets sales goals.
  • Coordinate and manage the Men’s League and other outside events.
  • Organize and run lesson programs for golfers of all levels, from beginners to advanced.
  • Lead by example and provide proactive leadership in all matters concerning golf shop operations, guest services, and events.
Qualifications
  • PGA of Canada Member in good standing (or working towards certification)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Strong desire to grow as a Golf Professional
  • Familiarity with Golf Genius Tournament Software (an asset)
  • Experience with Tee-On (an asset)
Compensation
  • Monthly salary of $3,000 - $4,000, commensurate with experience
  • 100% of lesson revenue, with the potential to earn up to $8,000+ depending on performance.
