Whether you are a coach, instructor, healthcare professional, volunteer, community leader, parent, or golfer, this module will help you successfully introduce golf to individuals with disabilities. 

Golf Canada is the governing body for golf in Canada and represents close to 290,000 golfers at over 1,500 member clubs across the country. A proud member of EDGA (formerly known as the European Disabled Golf Association), Golf Canada’s mission is to better the lives of Canadians through participation and excellence in golf. Golf Canada believes that everyone should have the opportunity to experience the health benefits of participating in golf.

This module has been produced in partnership with the PGA of Canada, whose teaching and coaching programs are widely respected around the world.

Learning Objectives
By the end of this module, you will be able to:
  • Describe the benefits of golf participation for individuals with disabilities
  • Explain disability and describe the barriers that may impact golf participation
  • Communicate effectively and respectfully with and about individuals with disabilities
  • Describe how to design inclusive golf programs
  • Support individuals with disabilities and their ongoing participation in golf.
