Murray Tucker Club Professional of the Year Award
The Murray Tucker PGA of Canada Club Professional of the Year Award is one of the highest honours the association can bestow on a working club professional whose total contributions to the game best exemplify the complete PGA of Canada professional. This award embraces a wide range of services executed by the club professional.
A PGA of Canada member for 41 years, Murray Tucker was the first person in the history of the association to earn Master Professional status. While Tucker’s playing resume is impressive—winning a number of provincial championships and the 1971 PGA Seniors’ Championship of Canada—it’s his work with the association where he made his mark. He was Director of the PGA of Canada and the PGA of Ontario for more than 20 years. He completed numerous PGA of Canada employment manuals.
