Guidelines and Criteria
DISTINGUISHED SERVICE AWARD GUIDELINES
- The Distinguished Service Award was created to honor outstanding individuals, as well as organizations, for their contributions and service to the game of golf and for inspiring others. Recipients are selected for their display of leadership, integrity, volunteering, sportsmanship and enthusiasm for the game of golf.
- Recognizing leadership and humanitarian qualities, in addition to integrity, sportsmanship, and enthusiasm for the game of golf.
DISTINGUISHED SERVICE AWARD CRITERIA
Distinguished Contribution to Golf in any of the following areas:
- Distinguished Contribution to the PGA of Canada.
- Distinguished Contribution to Golf in Canada.
- Distinguished Contribution to Golf in their local community.
- Distinguished Contribution to Golf globally.
Selection Process
- The National Board shall nominate and unanimously approve individuals each year.
Ineligible Categories
- Current PGA of Canada Board members
- Class "A" Members or Apprentice Professionals
- Previous PGA of Canada Distinguished Service Award winners
- PGA of Canada National office staff and PGA of Canada Zone office staff
