Brooke Henderson Female Player of the Year Award
The Brooke Henderson Female Player of the Year Award recognizes an outstanding female player among the ranks of the PGA of Canada membership. The Female Player of the Year will be awarded to the female member who attains the most points based on the criteria within the PGA of Canada Player Rankings for the calendar year of the award.
Brooke has been making history her entire golf career - winning more than 50 amateur events prior to turning professional in December 2014 - and is already the winningest Canadian professional golfer of all time, with 10 LPGA Tour victories to her name. She became the first Canadian woman to win a major since 1968, and the second-youngest woman ever to win a major, after claiming the 2016 KPMG Women's Championship at just 18-years and 10 months old. In addition, Brooke has a record of excellence in PGA of Canada events, winning the DCM PGA Women's Championship twice, in 2014 and 2015.
