To Whom it may concern,

I think the election of a board member from outside the organization is a unique opportunity to get involved with the PGA of Canada in a position to assist in developing ideas, young people, and future direction for the PGA of Canada into the future. I think views and awareness from outside the association would be extremely valuable to assist the organization with partnerships, programs, strategic partners, alternative solutions, and insight to continue attracting good people to the organization and to help continue growing the sport and opportunities within the game of golf. I have been involved with golf for 40 years and have been fortunate to learn from some of the bets businesses, best practices, and leaders within the game of golf and sport. As a person who loves the game and sees so much opportunity, we need to continually get creative on developing and attracting people to our game. We can do this through various channels of involvement within education and experiential opportunities.

Over my time in golf, I have worked in a club back-shop cleaning clubs, managed a Pro-Shop, General Manager of a Retail Golf Store, VP of Purchasing and later a VP of Store Operations doing retail in Western Canada with 1.3 B in retail dollars and a 100M payroll budget. 

I look forward to an opportunity to join a dynamic brand and give back to the game that has been so good to me both personally and professionally.
